Why is a password required when ask to buy is on

Hello, this is my first post on the support site.

I have recently purchased and iPod Touch for my son and daughter and set them up with Family Sharing. It's seems to be all working fine, however, there is one thing that's rather annoying and i'd like to remove.

When one of the children finds something they would like in the app store, they click on buy, and it asks for their apple password. Then it sends me an Ask to Buy Request. Is there a way of removing the password requirement from the app store/iTunes Store so that it just goes to Ask to Buy?

The Apple password is something i'm reluctant to give them (can be used to change settings, get locked out if input incorrectly etc) and with Ask to Buy in place, surely this is an unnecessary step.

Thanks in advance
