freezing iphone 6 screen

My iPhone 6+ screen is unresponsive. It started yesterday and a reset fixed it for a few hours. I have now reset it again and forced it off a number of times but when I turn it back on the screen is again unresponsive.

As a result I am not able to unput my password either so I have no access to the settings of the phone

All the buttons home, power, volume appear to be working fine

Any suggestions?
