iTunes 12 and iOS Music both revert to top of playlist when changing playlists

Subject says it...

When changing from one playlist to another in iTunes 12 display always reverts to top of the list, most annoying if you've been somewhere way down a list. Also happens the same in Music on iOS... but even worse! On there it takes you right back out to the top level each time you go into the app.

Not good operational design Apple. Makes it pretty unusable unless you intend to turn it on and not touch it.
