I am trying to update my Macbook Pro and it keeps telling me that there are no updates from the 10.7.5, yet my husband's Macbook Air is on a 10.9. How can I get my computer to update, or is it just getting too old for the updates? I think I bought it in 2010.
Mavericks (10.9) is no longer available. However you can check the link below for steps to upgrade to Yosemite (10.10)
You cannot just update, you must pursue this as a an upgrade Purchase of a new major version Mac OS X.
Luckily the Yosemite 10.10 software is on sale for $0.
If both you and your husband are using the same Apple ID for the Mac Store and if he download 10. 9 (vice it coming with the coputer) then you can go to the Purchases section of the Mac App store and redownload 10.9 and install.
