bootcamp on thunderbolt hard disk

I have a MBA 2013 with a 128gb ssd, but im running out of space.

the problem is i need more space because i need to run boot camp for a program for my next study, so i wanted to purchase a Lacie 1Tb with thunderbolt.
is it possible to run Boot camp on a thunderbolt Hard disk ?

Be aware of issues with TB and Windows - Boot Camp: Thunderbolt devices not recognized after Windows 8 upgrade - Apple Support


W7/8.x has issues with TB devices and sleep/hibernate. Disable sleep/hibernate in W7/W8+ and your Windows experience may be a bit more stable.
