Korg Kontrol 49 issues NO MOD WHEEL ??? !!! ???

I have searched the forum for info on this and read everything I can - as well as telephoning Korg and making sure I have the latest software in the Korg, the correct power on the USB bus etc etc etc

When LOGIC boots - the software puts the Kontrol 49 into NATIVE mode, which would be great if it worked.

I can access simple transport paramters - I can even tweak instruments (sometimes - it doesn't always work) and I can play the keyboard...

When I do play the keyboard, there is NO MOD WHEEL !!!

I also cannot get the drum pads to work as drum pads

All VERY FRUSTRATING and driving me nuts

So nuts in fact that I may just sell it again...

Is there a phone number to ring the developer like there used to be?

I have used LOGIC since version 1.0 and since APPLE took over support *****

GERHARD???

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Hey Funny,

I share your frustration, but here's a workaround:

When logic boots up, it throws it into native mode and basically it becomes a controller for the logic mixer and transport.

To release it and use it as a keyboard and a really nice controller for my plug-Ins I do this:

Assign Control Surface key-command "Open Setup" to a desired key.
Assign Control Surface key-command "Scan All Models" t a desired key.

Now, when I launch "Open Setup" I can see my Kontrol 49 there so I delete it.
That throws the Kontrol 49 into a different mode with mod wheel working, and pedals etc. I can use the great "presets" for controlling Arturias and Spectrasonics synths etc.

If I wanna go back to using the K49 as a surface for Logics mixer and transport I just launch "Scan All Models" press OK and it's back.

All The Best,

Erik

I have been complaining about this both to Apple and Korg.

No Mod wheel, When you switch scenes, it will loose it's mind, The pads cant be used as drum triggers, You cant edit the "user" scenes , the Joystick doesn't put out the typical CC 16-17.

The K49 had the potential to be really cool, but needs a updated control surface profile.
