My bluetooth mouse and keyboard doesn't work after my iMac sleeps for a long time

For long sleeps time, my iMac (OS X Yosemite - Ver. 10.10.4 - 21.5 inch, late 2012) does not recognize the keyboard and bluetooth mouse.

My system is updated, I looked for bluetooth firmware update, but my mac firmware is already updated too.

It just happens when the mac stays sleeping for a long time. When it's a 5 minute sleep, it doesn't happen.

It started working after I upgrated to Yosemite. Does anyone know what can I do to solve this?

okay, thanks for that. Lets try restarting in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It is possible one or more has become corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode hold down the Shift Key until the display indicates it is restarting in Safe Mode. Then restart normally and re-test. If this fails there are some other things to try including an easy work around.

Hi. After about 12h sleeping, I tryied to use my iMac today. I recorded the issue:

As you can see, the blutooth itens doesn't work (even turning on/on the mouse and keyboard). The only thing that works is my wacom table (USB port).

I did what you said (safe mode), but didin't work. What else can I do?

How is the most easy and easiest way to re-instal the OS X?

Just to add information, I used an USB keyboard do login and access the bluetooth information, as you can see below:

I already told you that, boot into the Recovery Partition by holding down Command + R. If your wireless keyboard and mouse will not work use any USB keyboard and mouse until you get the problem solved. If you don't have one, then borrow or buy.

Are you sure your keyboard and mouse batteries are okay and both the mouse and keyboard are turned on?
