Voicemail greeting on iphone 5s won't play

All of a sudden the personal greeting on my boss's iphone 5s won't come on when he receives voicemail. The phone magically started using the default greeting message. Any assistance would be appreciated. It's used for business 98% and it's not professional not to hear the personal greeting.
