Safari: logged out from all pages

Safari: logged out from all pages

I turned on my Mac today. I found that I was logged out from all my usual webpages, like FB, Gmail, Twitter etc. I usually have them set to remember me.

Now I worry that I caught some virus etc. Anything else is working fine. Can login and access all my files and haven't noticed any other strange activity. Anyone an idea, what this could be? I cleared the Cache and checked for strange cookies and downloads.

I use an older OS 10.5.8 and Safari 5.0.6

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Based on what you have posted, I doubt anything is wrong with your computer. I get signed out of websites from time-to-time and logging back in usually resets everything. Unless you notice any other abnormalities, I think you'd be wasting your time trying to find a problem.

thanks for your reply. This is very helpful. I was just curious as I got logged out from all my favorite sites at the same time.
