Earlier iOS version auto-play videos on Facebook had an option to enable "Auto-play on WiFi Only". But with the latest version this option is not available at all. Auto-Play consumes data and battery
Under Settings->Facebook->Settings->Facebook Settings there used to be an option to enable "Auto-play on WiFi Only"

I have the latest version of Facebook. I do not see the option yet. FB version 36.0.0.40.231
I'm having exact same problem. Same phone model, iOS and version of FB.
None of the remedies online or suggested by others (so far) match my current iPhone or Facebook configuration setting options.
They seem to move it around each time a new version is out. A conspiracy or something...
Anyway..
Open Facebook app > "More" (lower right) > under 'SETTINGS', choose "Account Settings" > "Videos and Photos" > "Auto-play" to OFF
that should do it. But as I mentioned, every update seems to turn it back on, so you may have to find where they put it and turn it off.
Yeah unfortunately under Settings now in the App all I see is a "Photos" option rather than "Videos and Photos." There is no operator resembling "Auto-Play" under the Photos option.
They are apparently very good indeed at the ever evolving game of Video Autoplay Hide n' Seek.
