how do I disable the pass code on an Ipad

I always have used a password on my Ipad but today I wanted to disable that option and I couldn´t do it, the actual option in the settings is grey not blue as the rest of them. it only allows me to change the password but NOT disable so it doesn´t lock on. I have the latest OIS update and I would like help on this issue.

What steps do I need to do?

IF you mean the passcode to unlock the device, is the iPad company owned? If so, they may have set up a profile that will not allow you to remove the code, but allows you to change it.
