Text tone but showing up as a ringtone

I have recently upgraded from an iPhone 4 to 5s which is running iOS8.4

On my iPhone 4 I was able to set a 5 second tone as a message tone but with my new iPhone 5s when I go into Settings and Sounds to change the Text Tone the item I want only appears under Ringtones and not Alert tones so when I select it as my text tone I get no sound or vibration at all.

How can I sort this out?
