iTunes freezes when trying to delete files

Since the recent upgrade to 12.2.1.16, I can no longer delete files from iTunes. When I try, the app freezes and requires a force quit. Restarting after the attempted delete shows the files are still present. I'm currently running Yosemite 10.10.4

This is quite frustrating. Is there a fix?
