Disappearing appointments

Calendar will not save all of my appointments on my iPhone.. In April I entered an appointment for May 18. It's now MIA even though I do a word search for what I know is in the title. I go to that date and nothing. As a test, I re-enter the appointment for May 18, and it won't "stick." Other appointments are okay, just this one. I even changed which "calendar" it is assigned to, but no luck in re-saving it. It doesn't matter if it is entered on my MBP or iPhone. However, the appointment does show up correctly on my iPad. Is there a Calendar bug for the iPhone? Or a setting I'm missing? .

Are you syncing appointments on the phone from somewhere? If so, many of the programs that sync calendar appointments will only sync for the last 30 days. I know that is the default setting for my Outlook. Calendar items are archived and then only exist in the Archive calendar in Outlook, and are removed from the synced devices.

I'm only using the Apple Calendar and syncing across all devices. The appointment appears on my MBP and my iPad, but not on my iPhone. As an experiment, I re-entered the appointment on my iPhone, but it immediately disappears (even though it shows up on the MBP and iPad). Weird. Other appointments show up fine.

I am not aware of how the Apple Calendar works, since I am a Windows user. Maybe someone else can answer that, if there are no sync settings in the Calendar program. Hope someone can help you.
