Any functions on pad not duplicated on IPhone???

My pad was indicating heat distress signal on screen post long period exposed to sunlight (Very Hot !). My question is what or how many functions are available on Pad that are not available on IPhone??? As I am considering not replacing the defunct IPad??? Any answers would be very helpful , thanks.
