Yosemite: Using templates in Contacts - how?
FYI, my computer is:
Model Name: MacBook Pro 15
Model Identifier: MacBookPro11,3
Date: Mid 2014
Display: Retina - NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Disk: 500GB SSD
Boot ROM Version: MBP112.0138.B14
SMC Version (system): 2.19f12
OSX: 10.10.4
Working with Contacts 9.0: I am able to do all of the basic functions as described. Now that I am familar with the basic functions I want to add templates. Under preferences I can make a template. I cannot find a way to specifically save it, or to give it a name.
If I am limited to one template then every new Contact going forward will start with that template. And for each new Contact I have to waste time changing and adding fields. If I could add two or three templates, and then select the one I want the Contact to use that would be great.
Reading Help for Contacts there are subtil references to giving templates names, and using different ones. Any one have any experience with making more than one template or how to give it a name?
Many thanks.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10)
