Can I delete time/date stamp on front of photos?
I want to use a friend's photos from our trip to Ireland, but each photo has the date/time stamp on the front. Can I delete it? How?

You can use a 3rd party editor that has either clone or spot healing function that you can use to get rid of the date.
Some Image Editors That has Clone or Spot Healing:
Photoshop Elements 11 for Mac - $79
GraphicConverter - $40
GIMP for Mac - Free
Pixelmator - $60
Seashore - Free
The following was done with Photoshop Elements
However, give the Retouch tool in Photos' editing mode a try first. With care it might to the job to your liking.
To add to OT's list:
Unfortunatley no. That date and time stamp are embedded into the photo. Your friend would have to edit the photos then resend to you.
A work around... if the date and time stamp is at the very top or bottom of the photos, you could try the Photos cropping tool to delete that section.
Open the Photos app. From the Photos menu bar click Help > Photos Help then type cropping in the search field top right corner of the Photos Help window.
No - the camera does that and it is part of the photos - if there is space you can crop them off or if the background is compatible you can use the retouch tool to obscure it

Thanks for the update.
