Points to a problem with your internet access. It may be redirecting wrongly when trying to access that website. What happens when you try to access from home? Do you get an error?

Do you have any Website restrictions in place? Either on the computer, or on your ISPs router/modem?

It's working fine here. Try troubleshooting.

Might be a cookies, cache, extensions, or plug-ins issue.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.

Click: Remove All Website Data

Then delete the cache.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

If this is the actual URL you are trying, thne that is the problem.

http;s://basecamp.com There should be no semicolon between http and the s.

https://basecamp.com

Other than that, lets try a test. Open a terminal, and type the following in:

ping basecamp.com

you should get something like this:

PING basceamp.com (103.224.182.234): 56 data bytes

64 bytes from 103.224.182.234: icmp_seq=0 ttl=53 time=67.915 ms

64 bytes from 103.224.182.234: icmp_seq=1 ttl=53 time=64.827 ms

64 bytes from 103.224.182.234: icmp_seq=2 ttl=53 time=62.765 ms

You can press cntrl + c to stop the ping after a few lines.

What IP address are you getting for it then?

Interestingly enough I get a different address if I try this from Yosemite, than I do on Windows.
