I cannot donwload apps on my iPhone 5S. i keep getting a cannot sign in message after I enter my password. What the heck???

I am not able to download apps on my iPhone. I keep getting a cannot sign in message and then X_Apple_AMD_message. I have to go onto the computer to download any apps. How can I fix this problem? Thanks

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4
