Audio Midi Setup - no Manufacturer or Model (list is empty)

Hey, I just discovered that my manufacturer/model list is empty in Audio Midi setup. How can I recover this?

Also, I have a controller that behaves like an interface (in/out on the bottom, not on the top), so I can't connect it to my interface (won't connect with devices that also have ins/outs on the bottom).
