iphoto to iCloud upload

Hello,

I am currently trying to upload my iPhoto Library to the iCloud. I have about 30GB of photos and videos to upload, I even increased my iCloud account storage to 200GB for a monthly fee.

What I am wondering is how to upload all of these photos to the iCloud Drive? Also once they are uploaded and I add more photos will the iPhoto application automatically add new photos to the iCloud drive? I went to iPhoto>preferences>iCloud and turned on the Automatic import and upload option. It appears that the photos from my Phone/iCloud are now importing to my iPhoto Library, but my iPhoto Library is not being uploaded to the iCloud.

MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012)

10.9.5

iPhoto 9.5.1
