If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if it is connected to the Internet by Wi-Fi or cellular. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.

If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:

The phone has so many important contact nos and other documents, and if possible I need to alert the Police to track the phone and it is location. You can contact the police and report the theft to them. You can get your serial number via iTunes if necessary. The Police will not track your device.

If you activated Find My iPhone prior to the theft, you can log into www.icloud.com and track your device if it is powered on and connected to the internet. Only you can track your device, Apple does not track stolen devices.

When you open iTunes, go to Preferences, Devices, and then if you hover over the backup, it will appear. See this support document for help in finding that. Find the serial number of your Apple hardware product - Apple Support

My phone was stolen and i need a phone in order to get jobs and get out of my living situation, i was robbed so everything is gone ss card , birth certificates, money.. How can i get a new phone

Talk to your carrier, or someplace that sells phones. Talk to a family member or friend and see if you can borrow one. Depending on this "living situation", it may be possible that some agencies can provide assistance, but no one here could supply you with a phone, and neither can Apple. I'm sorry.
