I have a MacBook Pro (2014) and just purchased a MacBook Air. I want to use both. Can I migrate applications and use them on both?

I am told that the best thing to do is reinstall apps. Sounds like an answer to me.

You can migrate your existing user folder (Home folder) as well as third-party applications and their support files. However, you will need to have a way to connect the two computers to one another such as using your local network connections of a Time Machine or other disk backup.
