I am currently using Mac OS X LION 10.7.5, should I upgrade my safari version and if so to what?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), operating system is 10.7.5

If you’re running a version of Safari older than 6.1.6, yes; open the Mac App Store, click on the Updates tab, and install any Safari or security updates which appear.

If you’re running Safari 6.1.6, you need to upgrade the computer’s OS to get a newer Safari. Whether or not you should depends on whether any incompatible software is installed and if you think the benefits of the newer OS outweigh any other drawbacks.
