Iphone 5c won't play music without internet connection

I have the latest version of software on my iphone 5c and also on itunes. I have downloaded songs to put on my phone but they will only play when I have an internet connection. This has happened ever since I got apple music but only happens to songs i have put on my phone since then. Some of the songs I want to play aren't even on apple music so I know it can't be because of that. Please help, it is driving me crazy.

Hey there! I am not sure that this one would help solving your issues.

But please go ahead and turn off apple music and see this one is helping you or not.

If you don't know how to turn off this are steps:

Go to settings

Scroll down and look for Music

Then open Music,tap on "Show apple music" to turn off apple music.

Return to your music and see what happen.
