How do you recover cloud music after deleting

I once updated iTunes and all my music ever bought showed in the library, i have since deleted it - even when it showed next to the cloud icon in the library (as in needs to be downloaded again) i can't retrieve it now and when i visit the iTunes store the song/album says purchased but there is no option to download, sometimes it will just ask me to buy again.
