MacBook Pro can't find Canon MG5220 on home network

Yesterday I printed at a friend's house, and today I couldn't print on my own printer. I committed the blunder of resetting printer functions, and now I'm dead in the water. I have reinstalled the Canon software from the original CD, and I ran the Canon IJ Network Tool. It doesn't see any printers at all. Now what?

Running OS X 10.9.5 on the laptop.

BTW, the printer shows it is connected to the network's access point.
