It appears that now that I've updated to Yosemite 10.10.4, my old iPhoto is no longer compatible (would have been nice to know that beforehand...). Of course a compatible version iPhoto / Photos version is not "currently available" in the Canadian app store. Am I missing something? What are my options?

Photos is an OS component and should be in the Applications folder and the Dock. If you don't want to use it for some reason, click here and try following the instructions.
