Photo's not exporting error 1019

Hi,

I'm trying to clear space off my computer (it's pretty much full) two questions.

1. When trying to export photographs to my harddrive or to drop box I get this error:

User uploaded file

Here is my operating system:

2. I'm trying to get rid of stuff/move it to an external harddrive, but wondering how much dropbox/google drive if any, are contributing to the "Other" on my storage. Does having a giant dropbox affect my storage?

thanks.

So, after dealing with this for days, a lightbulb finally popped over my head. The idea actually WORKED!!!

So, all I did was completely sign out of Icloud on my mac. it asked me if Id like to remove all saved data from my mac, and that it would still be saved in the cloud. I clicked NO to saving any information on the mac. I then signed in/started fresh. Once I did that. I opened up the photos app, and tried exporting 60 photos at a time. The last time I had tried to export 60 photos, only 10 worked and the rest had the 1019 error. This time. all 60 were successful. So igot greedy and tried to export 250 at once. all of them worked. not only did they work, but I was successful at exporting them through an ethernet cord to another computer (with more memory)

I am so pleased. I only wish I had thought of this sooner before stressing about it for so many days.

Best of luck to everyone. hopefully this will be the trick for anyone dealing with this error.

The error message you have posted is frequently shown, if you Photos library needs repairing, if the original image files are missing, or if they are unreadable.

To find the location of your Photos Library launch Photos, click the "Photos" menu in the main menu bar, then "Preferences".

The "General" pane of the Preferences panel will show you the location of your Photos Library. What does the item "Library Location" show?

You can reveal the library in the finder to check its permissions and its size by clicking the "Show in Finder" button.User uploaded file

Quit Photos. Make a backup copy of the library on an external dive, and then try to repair the library with the First Aid Tools.

  • To launch the "First Aid Tools" in Photos hold down the options-command keys ⌥⌘ while double clicking the Photos library.
  • Select "Repair" in the panel that will pop up. DOn't try a repair without having a backup copy of the library.
