Question

Attempting to copy to the disk "Macintosh HD" failed. A file was specified instead of a folder.

When attempting to back up my iPhone 5 to my iMac I get this error - ""Attempting to copy to the disk "Macintosh HD" failed. A file was specified instead of a folder."

Does anyone know what the folder is and the directory path for it?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4, iMac Yosemite

So I just rebooted my iMac and chose Sync instead of Backup and it worked fine.

I have the same issue with my ipad. I get the same line and error code -54. sync or backup, reboot or not.
