mouse and keyboard wont work at login screen

I recently upgraded from OS X to Yosemite then upon my first boot up I get stuck at the users screen with a prompt asking me to connect a Bluetooth keyboard because mine cannot be found or is disabled! Can someone please help me to fix my macbook pro!
