Which QR app? Without knowing which specific app your referring to, it's hard to answer if it works with your phone.

If you're looking for a QR app, search the App Store. Look at the options the search brings up and check which phones they support. Download one. Bar code readers on phones just use the camera. There's no special hardware required.
