New iTunes account without losing library

My family and I all use a single iTunes account with a single Apple ID. I would like to create my own account so i can pay for my own music. Is it possible to do so without losing all of the music I purchased under my family's account? I have the entire library on my personal computer, and a good amount of music on my iPhone.

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4

Back your content up and create the new account normally. It won’t affect previous purchases, but you may encounter a 90-day waiting period to redownload them from the iTunes Store, and if this would cause your iTunes library to contain protected content from six or more Apple IDs, may have problems when syncing iPods or iOS devices.
