2012 Retina MacBook Pro SSD upgrade question

Hi guys,

I'm going to be upgrading the SSD in my MacBook (2012 retina model) and need some help. I've read online that only certain drives will work with this however I'm wondering if either the Samsung EVO 850 or the Crucial MX200 would work? As they are both mSATA drives?

Would these work? Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks all.

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

The SSDs that you mention are compatible with non-retina MBPs and will not fit in your retina MBP. Here are compatible options from OWC:

Transcend also has compatible SSDs available for your MBP..

Ciao.
