I just bought an iPod touch 6 and I am just now discovering that there are hardly any cases made specifically for it. I see iPod touch 5 cases and I know they are exactly the same except they have the cutout for the wrist band on the case. I do not want a case with a cutout for a wrist band that doesn't even apply to the new iPod.

Because the ipod is very new and there aren't many people who buy the ipod. But I think there will soon be more cases available.
Contact case manufactures. They are the ones who decide to make a case specifically for the the 6G.
I today bought one for the 5th generation touch and apart from having a hole where the pop-up for wrist band is, it's exactly the same and 5th generation case fits fine, I bought just a rear cover as I did not want the back scratched.
why is there hardly any cases specifically for the ipod touch 6?
