SMS option in my messaging settings is not available

Hi,

I am currently unable to send text messages on my iPhone 4. When I checked on my messaging settings, the SMS setting is completely gone. I have tried to do factory reset and updating IOS to the most recent that the iphone 4 can get, still the same issue. Please help! thanks!

SMS messaging is a carrier feature. There are no settings on the phone to enable or disable it. Contact your carrier for assistance.

The setting to which your referring only determines what happens to an iMessage if it can't be sent as an iMessage. The reason you don't see it si most likely because SMS is not currently available.
