4MOT/4/40000003: HDD- 1822 error ?

My imac is blocked on the grey screen with the apple logo...nothing seems to work i tried every possible way to restart and my instalation cd doesn't work when i press C When the mac starts.i did the hardware test and that's what its says :4MOT/4/40000003: HDD -1822.Could anyone help me?

iMac (27-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8), Snow Leopard

Your hard drive is failing, or has failed. Replace the drive and restore your backup.
