Switch song/title takes 2 to 3 seconds

hello,

i use itunes (newest version) on a bmp 17" from 2007.

since itunes 12 after switching a title (manually or automatically) the beachball occurs and spins around for about 2, 3 seconds. very annoying when just searching a good song by clicking on many songs ...

i disabled all music connections, no loading or sending music/cover infos ...

any ideas how to fix this?

itunes 11 and before was fine!

My 2009 MBP and my 2010 Mac Mini both do that for 3-10 seconds when you change songs. Trying to find songs to make a new playlist is pointless because you spend all your time waiting for the beach ball to disappear. Wish I had a solution. I think we'll just have to wait for a fix. Hope there is one.
