how to transfer photos to iMovie
What is the best way of organising photos in iPhoto so I can transfer them into iMovie? I also would like to know how to then transfer the photos into iMovie.

Howdy caltongirl,
When going about adding photos to iMovie from iPhoto, you'll see your photos represented in the same organizational manner that you do in iPhoto. Once you're in the Media Browser, you'll see, essentially, iPhoto within iMovie. The help page linked below details how to access the media browser in iMovie in order to add photos to your projects.

As far as organizing photos in a way that's helpful toward adding photos to projects in iMovie, you might consider creating an album specifically for photos for each project that you might create. This can be done by naming the album after the movie you're making, and adding the desired photos for that project to the aforementioned album.
