Smartdisk Firelite
I have been using a 40 gig Smartdisk firewire firelite drive to transfer files between my building various macs. The drive has performed flawlessy.My school recently was given another computer lab for our students to use that consists of about 10 Gateways.
thus my problem.......the Firelite firewire model must be reformated. The Firelite manaual says that Macs can read apple and PC formats....but the PC cannot read apple formats......
so....I re-formated the drive.......and it works perfectly on the PC now, but it is read only on any mac I put it on.....which is a giant hassle, since my school is primarily macs.
The macs in my buidling run the gamut from 8.5 to 10.4.....same results no matter the OS......read only.... The PCs are all running Windows XP.
What am I doing wrong?
