iPad mini at opening issues

Apps are not opening on my iPad mini… We try to open it up it will pop open and immediately close… What could be the problem?

IF all apps are doing this including the preinstalled Apple apps, try a reset, by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.


If only thrid party apps are doing this, try downloading another app. Any free app will work fine or any app that you previously downloaded but is not already on the device.

Hard to know exactly what the problem is. Try resetting your iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.


Second make sure you have enough free space on your iPad. Use the Settings app to find out.

Settings > General > Usage > Storage > Available

With iOS 8 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free. For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.


If you do not have enough free space you'll have to remove some content from the iPad to free up some space.
