I have microsoft word on my husbands macbook pro 15" which my father put on for me and would like to put it on my macbook pro 13", very sadly my father has since passed away, and missing him terribly 😟, he dealt with everything technical so i have no disc for it, is it at all possible to do this ?

yeah, loss is a drag, isn't it? you're sure you haven't found a dvd with MS office or MS word on it among his things? might be around the macbook pro 15"?
no? Hmmm....as a temporary fix, I'd suggest OpenOffice. It's not exactly MS word, but it's close enough and it's free as far as I know, so it might help you out for right now

Yes it is it hurts so bad dad is my idol such a wonderful man.
I think my mum donated most of dads computer stuff to raise money for the oxford hospital kidney transplant and cancer departments which is great, even though he has passed he still is the longest living kidney transplant person had it for nearly 40years and had cancer for 22, amazing man.
The 15" is my husbands dad put on there for him as he used to get so much stuff at great prices so i left it up to the man who knew lol.
Anyhow, i always get side tracked lol, I will try the open office sweet, thank you very much for your help much appreciated.
Another question not sure if you will know but do you know anything about lightroom ? if not would you know who i could ask as i have searched and searched to find somebody who can help my husband with that since apple stopped using aperture, i can't believe how hard it has been to find somebody who could help him, no tutors around here for 60 miles, live in the sticks lol.

I have gone to the app store on the macbook but it doesn't show any open office it shows lottos word things but not that one, am i being a dumb blonde, or rather red head lol.

I don't believe it is in the Mac App store (but haven't verified that lately.
The following 2 are very similar but most people lately (including me) seem to prefer LibreOffice. They are both free but you can make a donation if you want. You download and install them from the following websites:

or
OpenOffice
