Just shattered my Iphone 6 glass display. Qatar

Im new to the apple community..i live and work in Qatar but the iphone 6 that i got as a gift was purchased in Jeddah,Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately i dropped the phone and shattered the glass.Thankfully the phone is fully functional. As we dont have an Apple store here in Qatar am i eligible for replacement or free repair in the US? A friend of mine is going on a days layover to houston next week so i thought he could visit the apple store there and get it done.

My other option is to hand it to a close friend whos a third party mobile phone technician. Please advise.

You will need to take it to the KSA for warranty service.

Warranty is valid only in country of original purchase. Warranty covers

manufacturing defects - not abuse or accidental damage. You will have

to return the iPhone to KSA for repair. If you let your close friend do the

repair, you lose any remaining warranty and the ability to get a reduced

price Out of Warranty replacement iPhone if the repair is not successful.
