Problem importing photos

I am trying to import all of my 6,800 photos from my iPhone 6 onto my MacBook Pro which is using the latest OS X Yosemite software, but none of my photos are importing at all when I plugged my phone in and pressed import. How do I solve this and import all of my photos onto my MacBook?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), iPhone 6 on IOS 8.4

Hi hawk200010,

I understand you wish to import all of your photos from iPhone 6 to your MacBook Pro. This is a great second backup plan that I do all the time. The resource below explains how to do this. Image Capture is part of the Mac operating system, so this application should work for you. Here are some resources on the subject for you:

Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support

Image Capture: Transfer images and other items from your device

If you can't import photos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer - Apple Support

hawk200010, if you are still unable to import your pictures using one of these methods, please reply to this post with more information and any error messages you are seeing.

All the best,
