how can I text message a document to android users?

been working on a document in pages and when I try to share the file via text message in PDF format to android users, it's comes back as "message send failure." I'm thinking I can only do this messaging to iOS users? Can anyone provide another alternative other than emailing the document? my goal is to send it via text message where the recipient can view it directly in the message, in PDF on their mlbile device without opening up a third party app on their phone.
