Cannot play back hd content on upgraded-to Windows 10 machine

Help! I keep getting the "Title cannot be played in HD" error alert on my computer. This computer was upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 yesterday, and has historically played the hd movies and tv shows purchased through iTunes - whereas it works on like youtube. What's going on?
