My boss gave me my Macbook Pro when I quit. I need to update my pages, notebook, and numbers apps but it keep pulling up his apple ID and wanting his password. Am not going to call him. I have already logged into my apple ID account but it stills pulls up his. How do I get him off of here.

You need to delete and redownload those applications, and should erase the internal drive and install a fresh OS.

I was told by apple support if I do that I will have to pay for these apps. My boss purchased them when he bought the computer.
If they weren’t bundled with the computer, you need to buy them yourself whatever you do; aside from deleting them, there isn’t any way to remove his Apple ID.
If they were bundled with the computer, click here and contact Apple.

Thanks Neil. I am not very techie but do you like the MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4) software? If I had not downloaded it today would I have been able to update these apps? I am sure they were bundled when he bought this computer. All of us had them on our computers
