How can i fix my iPod so it stops glitching?

So my iPod started glitching recently. Like the ride side of the screen is part inactive. I've actually unlocked my iPod which took a few attempts and everything is glitching. The spotlight screen keeps coming down. The notifications keep opening and closing. Whenever i try scrolling it either opens an app or does something else. I can't even type things without some error happening. I don't know if the screen needs a repair because there are no cracks on it. I've also tried resetting the iPod by holding the home and lock button and its still glitching.
