Where do I find the serial number on an iBook?

This question has been answered with a link that no longer works. Where is the ibook serial number?

Depending on the model (white polycarbonate dual-USB G3, or clamshell colors earlier G3)

serial number may be located in two or three places, if you include system software as one...


See "About this Mac" from within Apple dropdown menu to see basic system info.

Also the system profile in later OS should show these hardware & software details.


Otherwise, if the computer is not running and you only have the physical computer to inspect

in hopes of finding the Serial Number usually may be found inside the • iBook Under Keyboard

and/or Inside Battery Bay. -- Check both.


[A model/family number on iBook should be on bottom.]
