I have a MacBook Pro that I believe is about 3-4 years old. It uses the older T-Style 85W power cord. I went to best by today and they told me that they dont have that style of power cord anymore so I am out of luck. Is there anywhere I can get a replacement? My old one broke right next to the part where it plugs into the computer. The plastic looks like it got warm and actually split open in 2 spots.
Try an Apple Store or eBay or Amizon. You will often find genuine parts there.

Cant I just use the L style 85W connector? I dont see why it would have to be a T-Style as long as it has the same pin configuration...
You didn't mention that. Yes you can as long as it's the same wattage.

I asked the guy that same thing at Best By and he told me that it wouldnt work. I drove an hour there and an hour back. Luckily I did have other shopping to do. But that means I can go tomorrow and drive back.
